“My thanks to ๐๐๐ญ๐จโ ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ง for inviting me over thru ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ฌ, together with ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ก ๐๐ข for letting me sit in during their latest round of fine-tuning, just to listen, experience the system and share some thoughts from a slightly different perspective.
Some rooms impress you with the equipment in them. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐จ ๐๐๐ง is one of those rare rooms where, after a while, you stop counting the equipment and simply listen to what the whole system is capable of.
๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐จ ๐๐๐ง โ calling it a serious Hi-Fi room would probably be an understatement. This is far from an ordinary listening room; it is a private sanctuary encompassing both high-end two-channel audio and home cinema.
The room is filled with some of the most serious equipment from the HiFi world โ Gryphon Kodo, Vitus, Audio Note, FM Acoustics, Aries Cerat, Pilium, Clearaudio, TechDAS, Naim, JBL L100 75th Anniversary Edition, Chartwell, Falcon LS3/5A, Lyngdorf, Ascendo, JVC, open-reel machine and more turntables than I managed to count properlyโฆ+ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐โ๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ง๐๐จ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ โ a 64-inch infrasonic subwooferโฆ
Dato tells me his LP collection alone is around ๐,๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ฌ..
His ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐จ ๐๐ญ๐๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ is one of only two, in Malaysia, one of the worldโs most extravagant analogue front ends!
Then there are his specially commissioned ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฉ๐ข๐๐๐ monoblocks โ a unique set made specifically for himโฆ etc etc.
Yet what interested me most wasn’t the hardware itself, but how all of it had been made to work together.

Having worked with ASCENDOโs infrasonic subwoofers myself, including integrating several ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ง๐๐จ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ (RP: RM79,500)
systems for clients, as well as running a Ascendo THE24 SUB PRO in my own setup โ Iโm not entirely new to what a properly integrated infrasonic sub can bring to a system.
But hearing what the ๐๐-๐ข๐ง๐๐ก ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ง๐๐จ ๐๐๐๐๐ could do in a system of this scale was still quite an experienceโฆ”
