I think ‘some’ of us may be bored with the repeated reissue of well known audiophile titles in multiple formats…that is what I have been hearing. Some of the reissues are somewhat better than their older edition(s)…
Instead of continuing to buy the reissues in different formats, I decided to take the plunge into their most expensive format, the Reel to Reel tape.
Worth it at US$450?
EVERY PENNY OF IT! Given the appropriate R2R player such as the BALLFINGER MP-002P, the resulted presentation was bigger, bolder and more energized than the vinyl and digital editions. It was easier to feel and follow the play and rhythm of the music.
Now, I doubt I will ever buy another copy of it.
