I was in all excitement when AV DESIGNS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD informed me that they were bringing in the said 28″ Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer.
The ASCENDO 28″ Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer maybe the subwoofer that fit my bill(?).
AV DESIGNS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD decided to have a launch event for the ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer,…
and take that opportunity to re-introduce the other ASCENDO subwoofers and/or products to the local media, dealers and some serious potential buyers.
I attended that event and met up with some serious ASCENDO users,…
and all were in the hope of experiencing first hand, the ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer.
Later, we were treated with some introduction and information of some ASCENDO subwoofers and/ or products by AV DESIGNS‘ Mr.Tony Low (above right). The attended guests listened attentively and waited patiently for the unveil and experience of the latest arrival from ASCENDO.
To our surprised,
we were not led to the main AV room at AV DESIGNS,…
but witnessed two [2] of their staffs pushed out a trolley with a Heavy Brown Box Carton
…containing the said ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer.
Later, I was informed that there would not be a demostration of the ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer due to…
an unavoidable Delay at the Customs Ports.
There was just not enough time to ‘set up, run in and fine tune‘…
the ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer for a decent demostration at the date of event.
It was Difficult to Postpone the Event Date…
due to everyone’s confirmation and busy schedule.
Maybe AV DESIGNS would set up that ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer for us to listen and experience at a later date (I am just hoping?).
I did have a Touch and Feel of the Quality Build of the ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer,…and even tried to moved it but cannot (for me!)…
due to its Hefty Weight at 140kg!

It was shared that the ASCENDO 28” Pro-Passive Squared subwoofer was instigated from a conversation with Trinnov CEO Mr.Arnaud Laborie, to push the ‘Boundaries of Performance‘ of the subwoofer within the ‘confinement of space‘. To answer that, the ASCENDO developed a 28” Composite Sandwich Cone (the cone area equivalent to a 32” round subwoofer), built from Multiple Layers of Rohacell.

As the host said, “wait, stay tuned for more”,…we were led to the main AV room there to revisit the ASCENDO 32” Pro-Passive Sealed infrasonic subwoofer (the other Star of the Event!) and the importance of infrasonic subwoofer in an AV and Music system.
I have heard and pretty familiarised with the set up (with the ASCENDO 32” Pro-Passive Sealed infrasonic and other ASCENDO subwoofers there) of that AV system and room at AV DESIGNS. Almost there and then, I understood and appreciated why Mr.James Tan wanted to re-demo the ASCENDO subwoofers especially the ASCENDO 32” Pro-Passive Sealed infrasonic. He believed and I concurred that…
the ASCENDO 32” Pro-Passive Sealed infrasonic subwoofer has ‘Matured (Ran-In) and Integrated‘ with the rest of the AV system.
I have heard the ASCENDO 24” Pro-Active Sealed infrasonic subwoofer at the same spot of the 32” Pro-Passive Sealed infrasonic subwoofer,…and I could easily testify that though the 24” was impressive in its own right,…
but the 32” could Easily Do(!) whatever the 24” could and (so much) more, at an Easier, Relax and Freer manner.
At two [2] notable Ultra HD 4K discs that were usually played, the ASCENDO 32‘ Pro-Passive Sealed infrasonic subwoofer could…
tracked them with Ease, brought Realism, Weight, Palpability, Dimensions, Engagement/ Participation and Immersiveness,
…to THE GREATEST SHOWMAN at the scene where the audiences participated the excitement of the show with their ‘feet stomping’ (…that was the ‘most’ demanding at the low frequencies that many branded subwoofers failed at extreme level!),…
…and at the scene in FURY where the Sherman tanks fought against the German Panzer tanks (…the ‘most impactful and explosive’ canons firing and ‘chest thumbing’ exploded tanks).
In conclusion, that was the single most Impressive!, Explosive! and Impactful! subwoofers showing/ event thus far,…for me!
