Analogue Fellowship Inaugural Dinner @ The Haven, Ipoh on 7th Feb 2018
The Analogue Fellowship celebrated its inaugural annual dinner at The Haven in Ipoh with a total of 118 gracious members attending. Members came from as far away as Miri, Penang, JB, Singapore and Hong Kong to attend what is considered the largest gathering of hi-fi/audio enthusiasts in Malaysia.
The Analogue Fellowship’s Organising Committee, headed by Dato‘ Danon Han and Daimler Tan, got the exciting event underway with a welcoming speech and the traditional ‘Loh Sang’ dish to mark the coming Chinese New Year.
Daimler then presented a video featuring members wearing the black and red shirts designed specially to highlight the fellowship’s passion for all things analogue and vinyl.
Dato‘ Danon next gave a rousing speech to thank all members for their enthusiastic response and fellowship towards the betterment of the audiophile community in Malaysia and beyond.
Dato’ Danon also thanked the gracious manufacturers, distributors, retailers and supporters who kindly donated valuable time and products. A total of more than RM60,000 worth of audio equipment, vinyl records, free stay at The Haven and other gifts were given out to members during the Lucky Draw segment.
“We just want everybody to enjoy themselves and take home more than just a souvenir’” said Daimler. “We want them to bring home an everlasting friendship.”
Although the fellowship was only established a few years ago, it has already garnered a strong following on the social media platform Facebook with more than 11,100 members.
“Our fellowship’s main objective is to bring together all audio and music loving friends under one roof to celebrate friendship and passion,” said Dato‘ Danon.
Lastly, a final video presentation showed many activities undertaken over the past years in KL, JB and Ipoh with special guests like Fleming Rasmussen of Gryphon, Louis Desjardines of Kronos, Constantinos Pilios of Pilium Audio, Stavros Danos of Aries Cerat and Tom Vu of TriangleArt.
With so much support shown by members and major brands from the audio fraternity, the Analogue Fellowship is destined to be active and continue to have lots of activities, especially after the Munich High End Show in May 2018.
