A DAY WITH MADS KLIFOTH OF AUDIOVECTOR.

After my recent written review of the Audiovector‘s flagship loudspeakers, the R10 Arreté (retail at Ringgit Malaysia RM829,000 per pair), both Mr.Kenny Lim and Mr.Issac Ho of Audio Perfectionist MALAYSIA (and Audio Maestro SINGAPORE) came over to my Audio Den for a listening session. Both gentlemen suggested to me that Mr.Mads Klifoth, the CEO of Audiovector (DENMARK) would be visiting MALAYSIA in early February (2026), and that they would like to arrange him to meet up with me,…if convenient, possibly an interview,…and a listening session at my Audio Den.

I welcomed those suggestions with an opened heart and mind,…frankly, I love to converse with the designer(s)/ brain(s) behind the audio products, especially those behind the products that I admired.

For me, getting to know the Person behind the Admired Audio Product/ System is a Direction to a Destination in my Audio Journey.

.

My first arranged meet up with Mads Klifoth was at Audio Perfectionist. We got on pretty well for the first meet,…as if we have known each other for some times. I believed that the fact we both have many similar hobbies (Watches, Lego, RC Cars,…), preferences (Musics, Movies,…), and family values eased the meet, conversation and friendship.

.

We did have a nice and heavy Japanese lunch (courtesy of Audio Perfectionist) before the actual interview. There, Mads shared his ‘easy going’ and that he was no stranger to the Asian cuisines,…that his wife was an established chef,…and that he loved to travel with his wife and two [2] sons to broaden their respective perception of different peoples and cultures in the world.

.

The following questions for Mads Klifoth at the interview proper (the entire interview was recorded and would be posted):

1) To my understanding that Audiovector is very much a Family Oriented Business, how do you work with your father, the founder, Mr.Ole Klifoth? Legacy, Technical Innovations, and Future Direction.

2) How do you categorize the Sound Quality/ Coloration of Audiovector? R10‘s?

3) What do you think of Audiovector loudspeakers pricing compare to others? Value? Investment? Upgradability?

4) What do you think of the Competitor flagship loudspeakers that priced several folds against the R10? What are the advantages of R10 against those competitors?

5) What do you see/ expect for Audiovector in ten [10] years?

6) What and How do Audiovector work the aboves with your Distributors/ Dealers such as Audio Perfectionist & Audio Maestro?

.

The following day, we have an Audiovector gathering with Mads Klifoth, Jacky Fung and Issac Ho at my Audio Den,…a listening session with the company’s latest flagship loudspeaker, the R10 Arreté,…and together with some local audiophile.

.

That session started off with an introduction of and about Audiovector and the ‘Star’ loudspeaker, the R10 Arreté by Mads Klifoth.

.

Then I took the helm and prepared the guests for…

a Comprehensive Three [3] Courses of Music Playlists…

at different listening volume, from (a) soft to (b) middle and, to (c) extreme volume level (near and/or more than 100 dB peak!).

.

We listened to fifty [50] tracks at around two [2] minutes per track, from a number of genres; from simple vocal to jazz, then complicated big band, classical, and finally difficult soundtracks, and demanding techno, etc.

I believed that I have left No Big Rock Unturned!

.

I doubted anyone at the session would question or have any reservation in the Ability, Prowess and Sound Quality of the Audiovector R10 Arreté as a Statement Loudspeaker!

.

After that listening session, I was encouraged by the display of enthusiasm and interest by the attending guests over the Audiovector loudspeakers,…many interesting questions were raised to Mads Klifoth (even after a few hours of intense listening to the Audiovector R10 Arreté loudspeakers,…personally, I thought most guests would be tired?).

.

I closed that session with a short talk about High End Audio in the region.

.

I thought it was it, until a Few Guests requested to play their Favorite Tracks which were not in the playlists! (End)
