My first encounter with the TiGLON* MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers of pure Magnesium were in Begins Acoustic (MALAYSIA) exhibition room at the recent WAVES AUDIO & VISUAL EXPERIENCE MALAYSIA 2025. There, Ms.Kenix Chua did a simple demonstration with and without the said Footers under a digital source audio component,…and without any stress and hard concentration,…
I could easily Hear the Sound Quality Differences.
* the Japanese Audio Company, started in 2008 by Mr.Kentaro Okino, that specialises in High End Audio Components/ Accessories that advocate and utilize Magnesium for its Superior Vibration Damping and Electromagnetic Shielding capabilities.
Then and there, I started to imagine what the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers could have done in sound quality-wise for my audio system. Before I even ask for some samples to review, Kenix offered to send a set of four [4] of the said Footers to my Audio Den and said,…
“it would be Interesting to hear your Reaction to them”.

I found that the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers came in a simple assembly of four [4] components; (a) the Cone (separately as MZ-2), (b) the Base (separately as MZ-1) and (c) the main “Grande-Cup“/ Body (which was additionally treated with the company’s proprietary “Magnetic ZERO Process” that Dramatically Enhanced its Vibration absorption and EMI/ RFI shielding capabilities, and a cross-shaped grooves and a central hole on the bottom surface that were designed to enhance the presented soundstage), which all three (a-c) components were made of pure Magnesium that the company claimed has the above mentioned capabilities, and also High Internal Damping characteristic, instead of the metallic “ringing” of other metals (as supported by measurements provided by the Japan Electric Cable Technology Centre (JECTEC)),…and (d) a Patented D-REN ring (Patent already obtained back in 2019) that controls resonance across a wide frequency range.

The TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers were finished in the luxurious manner that gave them the strong visual impact and value,…and according to their specifications, each said Footer’s dimensions was of 34.5 mm in Height and 53 mm in Diameter, and was recommended for the load capacity of no more than 25 kg per said Footer. They were available in sets of three [3] for Ringgit Malaysia RM1,485 and four [4] for Ringgit Malaysia RM1,980.

SETTING THE TiGLON FOOTERS UNDER THE FM ACOUSTICS,…
I must admit that it is fun playing around with the positioning of the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers under some audio components. Unfortunately for the exercise, I have only a set of four [4] of the said Footers to play around. Hence, I decided to review them under the FM ACOUSTICS 268C preamplifier for a more universal result,…Sound Quality-wise.

The digital source at work was the HiFi Rose RS150B Server/ Streamer, and was powered with the TiGLON latest Flagship TPL-3000A WHITE TIGER Exclusive AC Power Cord, signal connection by the TiGLON AZURE DRAGON XLR Balanced Interconnect cable and internet connection with the TiGLON AZURE DRAGON LAN cable.

The rest of the audio system, basically consisted of the Vitus Audio Masterpiece MP-M201AF mono amplifiers, the Audiovector R10 Arreté loudspeakers and, mostly cabled by Skogrand Cables.
AND MY INTERESTING REACTION…

Here, at The American Project, Ms.Yuja Wang performed Mr.Teddy Abram‘s jazz-inspired Piano Concerto with the Louisville Symphony along with a solo work by Mr.Michael Tilson Thomas. I found that having place the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers under my reference preamplifier, the FM Acoustics 268C, did…
enhance the Coverage and Envelopement of the Soundscape, and clearer Insight into the Soundstage.
At the track ‘X. Return. Swing‘, there was Clarity into the Depth of the Soundstage, and that the Details, Textures and Dimensions of the Instruments positioned at…
the Furthest Depth into the Soundstage were Highlighted.
The Energy and Dynamic stored in the recording were not negated but…
presented with a notch ‘Livelier‘!

At the movements of the ‘Pines of Rome‘, critics claimed that Mr.Eiji Oue led the Minnesota Orchestra to an interpretation that were both “Masterful” and “Colorful“, and the Audiophile community highly regarded the above album to be of ‘Exceptional Soundstage, Deep Bass Foundation, and Clarity’.
With the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers under my reference preamplifier, I found the presentation and projection of the instrumentations and therefore the entire orchestra to sound…
Extended at both Extremes of the Frequencies; ie the Highs and Lows.
Here, the instrumentations that worketh at the Higher to High Frequencies/ bandwidth,…
sounded Higher (comparatively) and able to Extend and Fill the Height of my Audio Den’s Ceiling.
As for instrumentations that worketh at the Lower to Low frequencies/ bandwidth,…
sounded Articulate, Control, Delineated and yet Extended all the way to my seated position.

Here, at the Thunderous Drum Bass (Caution! Play at your own Risk!) track ‘Flying Dragons and Leaping Tigers‘ led by Mr.Yim Hok-Man, I found that with the use of the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers at the same position played a part to…
the presentation of Three [3x] Dimensions Images of the Drums, in Believable Size and Scale to the whole Ensemble.
And that Images were not in any way blurred by the…
Enormous projection of Dynamic, Power and Energy…
that literally ‘shook’ the Audio Den!

Actually, the first track that I played after setting up the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers at my reference preamplifier was the above acoustic rendition of ‘Layla‘ by Mr.Eric Clapton. Here, he was joined by his longtime collaborators; Nathan East (acoustic bass and vocals), Steve Gadd (drums), and Chris Stainton (keyboards), and was recorded at Cowdray House in West Sussex, England (in February 2021).
At that instance, I was…
pleasantly surprised with the Heightened Presence…
of the stringeth guitaring by Clapton. I realised that the TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers did contribute to the…
Highlight of the ‘Intricate Fingerpicking‘…
by the lead guitarist,…
that Stood Out in the mix.
Hence, even his vocalisation was given the same ‘Highlighted thus Stood Out‘ treatment that…
allowed Easier Appreciation…
of his ‘Aged, Slower, Soulful and Bluesy‘ rendition, amidst the dynamic instrumentations.
EASILY HEARD THE DIFFERENCES.
The TiGLON MZ-GRANDE Isolation Footers of pure Magnesium (treated with “Magnetic ZERO Process” at the “Grande-Cup“, and coupled with the Patented D-REN ring), under the FM ACOUSTICS 268C preamplifier alone already contributed to an open Soundscape, insight into the Soundstage, clarity into the Depth,…highlighted Details, Textures, Dimensions, Size, Scale, Energy, Power, Dynamics, Presence,…extension/ prominency of Frequencies/ bandwidth and,…
