A fellow audiophile, Mr. Robin Chung shared his reason to retip (which the cost is not cheap) an old phono cartridge, the Supex 1000 that was quite touching.
“That Supex 1000 phono cartridge was a present from him to his late father (also an audiophile) that he inherited“.
Why is it touching for me?
Well, I did inherit some audio components from my late father…and each time I play with them, they evoke a memory or two of him.
